The Prince Harry Debacle: a Christian Opinion
Here is a Christian perspective on all the controversy surrounding recent revelations by Prince Harry.
I am not into celebrity gossip, but I am interested in human beliefs and behavior. I watched the Netflix documentary about Prince Harry and Meghan with interest, mainly because they speaking for themselves. What I saw was a bitter, hurting man with an axe to grind.
I do have some sympathy for him as a person who appears to have grown up in a dysfunctional family and lost his mother at a young age. I hate that he and his wife had to endure being hounded and criticized by the press. Honestly, I am getting sick and tired of being battered by anti-Harry rants on my social media newsfeeds.
However, I think the book Brave and Prince Harry’s interviews are destroying his relationships with his family, friends, and the public. The media reports that public opinion of Prince Harry is at an all-time low.
So what needs to happen to fix this mess? As a Christian, I believe that healing and reconciliation are possible, but it will take a lot of time, patience, and humility to get there. Prince Harry says he wants to reconcile with his family, but some things must be done before that can happen.
