Please do not use the term "schizophrenic." This term is often misused in Christian circles to describe a split personality. This promotes an inaccurate perception of this condition. A split personality is Dissociative Identity Disorder, not schizophrenia. Schizophrenia's main characteristics are a break with reality (psychosis) featuring delusions, hallucinations, paranoia and disorganized thinking. It is a physical condition, not a spiritual one. This condition affects people close to me. I wish people would stop using this term.
