How to Deal with Mischief-Makers

Here are some ways to deal with people who are always trying to stir up trouble.

When we hear the word “mischief,” we often think of naughty kids at play. When adults play these games, however, they can do a lot of damage.

Mischief-makers tend to fall into several categories:

  • People who love to stir up trouble
  • They enjoy overreacting to imagined slights and making people squirm
  • They think the more chaos they can stir up, the better. These individuals will stand back and laugh while their victims try to emerge from the wreckage

Some are manipulators who love to interfere in the lives of others. They inundate their victims with unwanted advice and try to control them.

Meddlers and fixers
This group is often comprised of fools and ignorant people. They jump into matters without thinking that are none of their business, wreaking havoc wherever they go. Both do not recognize the messes that they are creating.

Some may delude themselves that they are doing things “for our own good.” They lack insight into the consequences of their actions.
